Hello, my name is Kora and I am the owner of BurningWillowCo! I am a Seattle-based creative who makes fantasy-inspired art and jewelry.

 

My work is shaped by my life as a Queer Trans Masc, drawing from my love for fantasy, appreciation for nature, and love for gothic and baroque aesthetics, along with some sprinkles of whimsy. 

 

I grew up on art, watching Studio Ghibli films, always doodling on my homework, and taking a collection of varied art classes for afterschool programs or summer camps. However, I didn’t realize I could pursue my passion for art and embrace my creative mind until college. Now, as an artist, my goal with all that I make is to connect people to their inner child who believes in magic through fantasy aesthetics and promoting genderless whimsical self-expression.

For me, art is not just a profession but an essential part of everyday life. I am deeply passionate about how I as an artist can use my work to communicate ideas and stories in innovative and captivating ways. I believe that imagery and visuals hold immense power in shaping how we perceive the world around us. I am passionate about harnessing that power to evoke emotions and spark imaginations.​
